Cars, Trucks & SUVs
Bought or sold a vehicle across the valley? Haul it home in one trip instead of arranging drivers — the 22ft deck fits full-size trucks.
Classic & Project Cars
Drive-over fenders mean wide and lowered classics load without fender clearance issues. Renters have hauled everything up to a '66 Chevelle with us.
UTVs, Side-by-Sides & Toys
Fit two machines on the 22ft deck for dune and trail weekends — D-rings at every corner keep them planted.
Flatbed Freight & Equipment
It's also our biggest flatbed — lumber, pallets, sheds, compact tractors, and lawn equipment up to ~7,000 lbs ride flat and strapped.
How much does it cost to rent a car hauler in Eagle Mountain?
Our Lamar 8.5×22 car hauler rents for $80/day, $480/week, or $1,200/month. No hidden fees and no mileage charges — what you see is what you pay.
What vehicles fit on the 8.5×22 car hauler?
The 22-foot deck handles full-size trucks, SUVs, classic cars, and modern sedans with room to spare, and the full-width drive-over fender design fits wide or low vehicles that won't fit between the fenders of a standard car trailer. Payload is roughly 7,000 lbs — most cars run 3,000–4,500 lbs and most half-ton trucks 5,000–6,000 lbs, so nearly any passenger vehicle is within limits.
What do I need to tow the car hauler?
A truck rated to tow the combined weight — the trailer runs about 3,000 lbs empty, so a loaded car puts you in the 6,000–10,000 lb range. A half-ton pickup with a tow package handles most loads; use a 2-5/16" ball and 7-pin round plug. The tandem axles have electric brakes, so a brake controller is required. See our
tow rating guide if you're not sure.
How do I load a car onto the trailer?
Pull out the heavy steel slide-out ramps, line up, and drive on. The long ramps give a gentle load angle, and D-ring tie-down points along the deck let you strap all four corners. There's no winch, so the vehicle should run or be able to roll under control.
Should I rent the car hauler or the enclosed trailer for a classic car?
Both work — renters have hauled classics with each. The open car hauler is faster to load and costs less per day; the
24ft enclosed trailer adds full weather protection and security for long hauls or valuable vehicles. For a fair-weather trip, the car hauler is the better value.
